Just when you thought I’ve experienced it all, my adventure continues!!

As you all know, I was given the opportunity to continue my YWAM (Youth With A Mission) work in an outreach location outside of Scotland. Unfortunately, I was unable to travel to this location on December 13th. When checking into my flight, I had an error come up with my passport. I wasn’t aware my passport expired in March 2020, and in order to get into the country, I needed at least 3 months validity after my return date. After much praying, I decided to go to the airport and attempt to get onto the plane, but no matter what I tried, the airline wouldn’t allow me on the plane. I had to cancel my flight, and only got a small refund. I spent another week at the YWAM base, in Seamill, doing a lot of praying. After looking into options to apply for a new passport in the UK, I realized the best option was not guaranteed. Therefore, the best way to solve my passport issue would be to come home.
My plan was to fly out the 23rd, but my flight from Glasgow to London was delayed 3 hours! I had to change my flight home to the next day, and spend the night in London. I arrived in Canada on the 24th and I got to spend the holidays with my family! I’ve made a trip to Calgary to submit a new passport application, which is now ready for pick-up on Monday. YAY!

To those who donated towards my trip to this outreach location, thank you very much for supporting and helping me in this journey. I still am believing God has asked me to go, and is wanting me to go, despite the obstacles I have encountered. I trust He will provide a miracle to get me there, because of the added expenses I had encountered. During the last few weeks of my Discipleship Training School, I asked the Lord to increase my faith in Him. To teach me what it’s like to have Him as my safety net in all areas of my life, including my finances. I know God does not take this lightly, for He sure has been challenging me in this request, in spite of all my planning.

(Who also was my one-on-one)
I appreciate all of your prayers, support and love as I walk through this part of my journey, and take this leap of faith. I pray the next blog post I update, will be sharing about my experiences in the new outreach location! Many blessings in your own faith journeys!
The outreach location has not been named due to the country and safety of the YWAM base
